Wings! Chorus is a women’s chorus made up of women who love to sing, laugh, perform and have a good time together exploring all kinds of music, harmony, rhythms and vocal ideas.

Wings! sings world music, rounds, vintage rock and pop, show tunes, jazz standards, gospel music and more. A practice session includes improvisational warm up and vocal exercises that tune, body, voice and spirit.
Wings! performs at their own concerts, community events, benefits, senior centers, usually 2 – 4 times a year.

Wings! is directed by Morning Star Chenven, a singer/songwriter, poet and educator. She performs widely in the group “Moonlight and Morning Star”, known for their rich harmonies and dedication to social justice

The chorus meets on Wednesday nights at the Munson Library in South Amherst, from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. There are two sessions: Sept. – Dec. and Feb. – May. We break in January and during the summer months.

New members are welcome to join during the months of September and February. There is no audition. New and experienced singers are welcome.

Members are asked to:
Learn the music, by reading or by ear. Members receive practice CDs.
Have fun! Make it your own! Suggest music, venue and gathering ideas. Help out in areas such as: public relations, performance and party planning, recording etc.
Commit to attending a full session ( Fall or Spring).
Pay a small monthly fee.
